Erdogan Welcomes Nigerian Leader in Ankara

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday hosted an official welcoming ceremony for Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ankara. Tinubu’s motorcade was greeted by 103 cavalry units along the avenue leading to the Presidential Complex, marking the 103rd anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

At the main entrance, Erdogan personally received Tinubu, and both leaders stood for the national anthems of Turkey and Nigeria, performed by a military band. Following the anthems, the two presidents posed for photographs in front of their countries’ flags before moving on to bilateral and inter-delegational meetings.

The visit will also include a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements and a joint press conference. The ceremony was attended by senior Turkish officials, including government ministers, presidential advisors, and the governor of Ankara.
