Erdogan Chairs Turkey’s Defense Industry Executive Meeting in Ankara
According to an official statement, the first session of 2026 focused on assessing the defense sector’s performance over the past year. Participants examined developments recorded in 2025, including overseas sales results, strategic objectives for the coming period, and the status of major ongoing initiatives.
The statement noted that discussions included “the export success of the defense industry, future goals, and critical projects,” while reiterating a firm commitment to strengthening the domestically driven and nationally produced defense ecosystem.
Committee members also addressed both active and upcoming programs designed to fulfill the operational requirements of the defense and interior ministries, with decisions taken on related agenda items.
